CLEANING PROCESS

As a preventive care for your piercing during the first few weeks, our staff will provide you with an efficient antiseptic product.

Cleaning your piercing will only take 2 minutes or so. It is an essential step to help your piercing healing properly, and very easy to deal with on a daily basis. Don’t neglect it, it has a major influence on the final success of your healing.

During 2 to 3 weeks maximum, clean your piercing twice a day, in the morning and the evening. Most of healing process happening during your sleep, it is recommended to take care of it right before and after a good night of sleep. Aftercare can be applied right after shower or bath.

Follow these simple steps:

1-To start, always wash your hands before touching the jewellery, the piercing itself and surrounding area.

2-Clean jewellery to get it rid of dry matters stuck to its surface. These are mainly a mix of immune cells, released by the body to
fight foreign germs. When oozing out of the body, they dry up, stick to the jewellery and might get sharp, thus tending to hurt
the piercing itself. You will have to clean these matter first, then you can safely slide jewellery back and forth to clean it.

3-Using a cotton swab or clean gauze, apply antiseptic on the piercing, jewellery and surrounding area. Gently slide jewellery
back and forth, this allowing you to clean the part that remained inside the piercing.

4-Gently dry the piercing with a clean towel.

5-Lips and Labrets : For external parts of these piercing, follow the preceding instructions. For internal parts of
the mouth, use a mouthwash 2 to 3 times a day for about 2 weeks.

MEDICATION WARNING

We stress the fact that you don’t use antiseptics more than needed.

Although they are useful for the first few weeks, an abusive use of them might bring strong side-effects such as intense dryness or modification of resident bacteria's activities.

All this resulting in lower antiseptic effects and skin weakness. Following the first 3 weeks, you should switch to a regular neutral PH soap for daily cleaning, properly rinsed after use.
